I am a multidisciplinary artist, specializing in traditional media, both 2D and 3D. While watercolor and gouache are my favorite mediums, I have also experimented with acrylics, oils and traditionally hand made egg tempera. My 3D work includes ceramics - both decorative and functional, casting in metal and resin, silversmithing and other metalwork.
My inspiration comes primarily from nature, small moments of blooming flowers, fluttering insects and beams of sunlight piercing through tree leaves to reflect on water. Even when creating fantastical or abstract works - nature influences how the finished art ends up looking and feeling. My goal for my personal art is to convey joy and serenity, to have someone look at my work and feel better afterward.
My goal for theatrical work, whether its scenics or props, is to contribute to the director's vision of the play, to help tell the story through the enviroment and accesories that actors play with during the time they are on stage.
